Great for the family, cheap food and beer, bring your own wine. Come for an hour or come for the afternoon. British and Irish Lions v Barbarians - Rugby Union 01 June 2013 It will shortly be June the 1st 2013 the day a lot of people have been waiting 4 years to arrive. The British and Irish Lions Rugby Union team take on an equally historical institution, the Barbarians. Members of the St David's Welsh Society of Singapore and many others will again descend on Hannibal's Bar to watch the game live at Robertson Quay, Singapore. Television coverage starts at 19:25 SGT and there will be some great beer and wine deals. The atmosphere was excellent at Hannibal's for the six nations 2013. It was my first Six Nations at the bar and I had the fortune to meet two old school friends Jeremy Gage and Richard Barnes. They are both from my small Welsh village and both St David's Welsh Society of Singapore members. I hadn't seen them both since around 1983 to 1986. Wales summer tests vs the Wallabies! 9th June/16th June(kick off 6pm SGT) + 23rd June(kick off 1pm SGT) Wales kick off the summer test of the series against the Wallabies in Brisbane and the St. David's Society is hosting the event at Hannibals at Robertson Quay. Free flow $80 2-8pm. Full lamb on a spit. 16th June is the Melbourne test. 23rd June is the Sydney final test. |
